Using Negotiation Model in Teaching Business English

Povzetek
Kadarkoli so ljudje udeleženi v družbenih interakcijah, izberejo in aktivirajo iz svoje spominske zaloge določeno besedilo vlog, na osnovi katerega delujejo in si zamislijo, kaj se lahko, oziroma, kaj se ne more zgoditi. Pogajanja so diskurzi, ki so namenjeni reševanju problemov in katerih vedenje vodijo mentalni modeli. Poznavanje modela pogajanj in njegovih transakcij lahko pomaga študentom izboljšati besedišče iz poslovne angleščine, povečati samozavest in izpeljati učinkovit proces pogajanj, katerega odlikuje tudi kvaliteten jezik. Poleg transakcij, ki so sestavna komponenta modela pogajanj, so pomembne tudi vsebinske spremenljivke in izrazi, ki jih lahko v procesu pogajanj uspešno uporabljajo.

Abstract
Each time people are involved in social interaction, they select and activate a particular script from their memory stock and begin to work only with that file, setting out their expectations about what may and may not happen. Negotiation can be seen as a problem-solving discourse in which mental models guide behavior. Getting familiar with the Negotiation Model and its transactions can help students upgrade business English vocabulary and raise their self-esteem in producing an efficient negotiation process of language quality. Besides transactions which are a component in Negotiation Model there are content variables and phrases which are important and can be successfully incorporated in the process of negotiation.
